Kathy’s Central Coast Living, CA
Kathy’s Central Coast Living
In October 1987, Kathleen moved from Southern California to the Central Coast of California, Morro Bay, with her mom, two brothers, and the family pets. Having a love of coastal living and eco-climate, the Aulbach Family relocated to a new and adventurous area of California with wide open spaces and freedom to explore the exquisite beaches and beautiful California coastline.
Inspired by the beauty of the Central Coast and the wonder and splendor of nature, Kathleen thrived with community participation and began volunteering, donating time and effort in community leadership. Kathleen served in many local Catholic church parishes as a volunteer in various parish ministries, including singing in the church choir and spending many years volunteering at church community events. Having a life-long passion for aviation, Kathleen took aviation ground and flight lessons in her younger adult years. Kathleen flew solo over the Central Coast with a view of the exquisite Central Coast, coastline, and beautiful Cal Poly college campus from the air. Kathleen had accumulated twenty-four hours of logged solo flight in a private trainer single-engine airplane. As a creative artist, Kathleen incorporates her love of aviation and whimsical aerial flying into many of the Little Flowers & Friends' exciting adventures and scenes.
Kathleen’s mother was a professional artist and custom picture framer. She taught Kathleen the value and appreciation of the Fine Arts and the technical skills of picture framing, art, and design. Her mother was Kathleen’s best friend and best fan of her art talents and encouraged Kathleen to continue with the development of her natural-born artistic gifts and abilities.
In 2004, Kathleen opened her own art gallery and custom picture framing Seawind Gallery as a sole proprietor. During her business tenure, Kathleen regularly attended city council meetings, did beach clean-ups, volunteered at church and community events, attended weekly business forum meetings, and donated to local charities and nonprofits, including annual donations to Maxine Lewis Women’s Homeless Shelter.
As a business owner, Kathleen contributed to local annual fundraising and donated custom-framed art and product gifts to local school fundraisers and the women's homeless shelter fundraising. She generously donated her children’s art illustrations in custom framed 22”x 28” giclee print with double mat, UV protective glazing, and museum-quality conservation archival materials.
With ambitious goals for success, Kathleen completed three business courses with SCORE and MCSC WBC, attended a course on custom picture framing in Golden, Colorado. and received a certificate of completion.
Kathleen sets high standards for herself and works hard to overcome all obstacles to achieve her goals. Her practice of a solid Christian faith works at growing and nurturing a lifelong gift and talent of kids' art. Kathleen has a youthful spirit of life that helps promote fine art, meditation, study, balanced prayer, and art creation and well-being. She possesses an optimistic and quality work ethic and has professional and caring conduct, positive core values, good instincts, and respect for life that promote health and wellness.
Kathleen has served her Central Coast community for nearly forty years as a faithful parishioner and volunteer, business owner and dedicated family member, and community event volunteer. In 2011, Kathleen retired from the retail business to provide full-time Hospice care for her aging and dying mother.
Now in middle age, Kathleen has an online retail business e-commerce website marketing and selling her art gifts and products. Newly opened for business, the Little Flowers & Friends website offers a variety of products with fun and uplifting animation and playful themes.
As an artist and illustrator of bright, colorful, lively children's art, Kathleen’s inspiration comes from meditation and reflection on family life, heritage, faith, and the value of prayer for all families. Little Flowers & Friends was created and developed by artist Kathleen Aulbach through her love of children and family. Illustrated with whimsical kinetic flower kids at play in their natural habitat of life, the kid Flowers shine with life, love and happiness, affection and warmth, mutual care, and respect for each other. They are cute and comical little kids with bright smiles, little kid bodies, and colorful outfits. Little Flowers & Friends inspire happiness, fellowship, quality of life, peace and well-being, uplifting joy, and cheer.
